I’ve always been particularly enamoured with power ballads. We all have both of these sides to us - hard and soft, passionate and sweet. However, I find we are often afraid to show both sides; we feel like we need to protect the people we love from the real us, and try to represent ourselves as one way or another. It’s only when we are brave enough to show both sides, like the men of Chicago, that we are able to truly love. So, I salute you, dear listener, for sharing yourself in this way with your partner.
